Research focus in:

  • osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, specifically 1) pathogenesis of postmenopausal bone loss and role of body weight, 2) effect of estrogen replacement and progestin therapy on postmenopausal bone loss and metabolism, 3) hormonal regulation of bone cells in vitro, 4) clinical risk factors for fracture and validity of the FRAX model, 5) relationship between bone mass and breast cancer
  • cardio-vascular diseases in postmenopausal women, specifically 1) risk factors for coronary heart disease, 2) carotid intima-media thickness in relation to the cardio-vascular risk and HRT, 3) estrogen effect on dendritic cells
