The year 2018 will be the year of the Vancouver World Congress (June 6–9). This venue will keep the traditional rotation of the IMS Congress from continent to continent, so reflecting the global character of our Society. While the IMS biennial congress is an opportunity to increase our knowledge on a wide array of menopause-related topics, it also creates a fantastic occasion to meet friends and colleagues.

Menopause Live, part of the Society’s web-based educational activities, brings up-to-date, get-to-the-point short reviews and commentaries on recently published studies. The Menopause Live project started in 2008 and about 350 Monday-morning issues have been released so far. Many IMS members have contributed to Menopause Live, in line with the slogan ‘for IMS members, by IMS members’. The new editions are sent by e-mail to the membership, but please note that issues dated 3 months ago or earlier can be viewed freely by anyone who downloads from the IMS website. The diversity of the topics covered actually creates an easily accessible comprehensive library.

As always, commentaries or suggestions from our members are always welcome. Unfortunately, there has been a recent decrease in the number of contributions, and this may translate into less frequent editions of Menopause Live in the future. Of interest is your feedback on how you value Menopause Live: do you read it every week, do you recommend that this educational project be kept viable because, in your eyes, it is an important service for the members, etc.? Your experience and evaluation are appreciated. Please share your views with us (apines@netvision.net.il).

Happy New Year to you all
