Jen Sassarini is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow, where she was awarded her PhD in 2014 for the study of the vascular pathology of hot flushes in menopause. Following which, her clinical interest has focused on the care of women in Glasgow, where she leads a dedicated clinical service in menopause. She has contributed to local and national guidelines, and has published a number of peer reviewed papers and book chapters. Jen has won the Robert Greenblatt prize for basic science in 2011, and again in 2018.
In 2024, she was awarded a Senior Research & Innovation Fellowship to support clinical research and innovation activities, in partnership with the Scottish Government and the Chief Scientist Office (CSO), to improve the lives of women living with menopause symptoms.
