Peter Chedraui, MD, MSc, PhD
Dr. Chedraui is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, and Research Professor at the Universidad Espíritu Santo, Samborondón, Ecuador.
Member of the International Menopause Society (IMS), the European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) and the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE). Currently Editor in Chief for Gynecological Endocrinology the Official Journal of the ISGE. He has served as past Board Member of the IMS, EMAS and ISGE, and Past Secretary and Treasurer of the Council of Affiliated Menopause Societies (CAMS). Currently elected member of the Board of Directors of IMS (2024-2026).
He is Past President of the Ecuadorian Society of Climacteric and Menopause and Past Vice-President of the Latin American Association of Gynecological Endocrinology (ALEG).
His field of expertise is women’s health (reproductive and non-reproductive stages), with focus on preeclampsia, obesity, the metabolic syndrome, menopausal symptoms and cardiovascular risk, all endorsed by more than 250 peer reviewed publications, many of which are part of a joint effort of a Latin American scientific network.
