Premitha has been interested in menopausal health for the past 28 years, since graduating as a specialist. She is presently the President of the College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and heads the Menopause & Midlife Women’s Committee of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia. She is also on the Board of the International Menopause Society.
In 2022, she chaired the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Management of Menopause in Malaysia which has seen a positive change in the management of menopausal women by Malaysian health care workers
