Rossella E. Nappi, MD, PhD Gynecologist, Endocrinologist and Sexologist was born in Naples (Italy) in 1965 and is a full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chief of the Research Center for Reproductive Medicine and Director of the Gynecological Endocrinology & Menopause Unit, IRCCS San Matteo Foundation, University of Pavia (Italy).

Dr Nappi’s major interests are psychoneuroendocrinology of female reproductive and post-reproductive life with a special focus on women’s sexual health. She has published more than 350 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and international books with more than 21000 citations (HF Google Scholar 79).

She is a well-known speaker on women’s health from adolescence to menopause. She has been very active in many international meetings and research projects in the field of contraception, menopause and female sexual dysfunction.

She is past president of the International Society for the Study of Women Sexual Health (ISSWSH) (2007-2008) and actual President of the International Master Degree on “Life-long wellbeing and healthy aging” founded by European Commission (EC2U Alliance) at the University of Pavia (Italy). At present, she is member of the advisory board of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) and of the International Academy of Human Reproduction (IAHR). She is President elect of the International Menopause Society (IMS).
