The International Menopause Society (IMS) established the Council of Affiliated Menopause Societies (CAMS) to support the delivery of the Society’s Mission and Vision. CAMS is comprised of national and regional menopause societies. CAMS also provides support to establish menopause societies in areas where there are none.

CAMS has the following objectives:

  1. To establish connectivity and partnership working across the national and regional menopause societies and with the IMS.
  2. To actively engage in the delivery of IMS educational activities, events and World Congress, to support the development of new initiatives, and to encourage membership to the IMS within their country/region.

About AAPEC

The Asociación Argentina para el Estudio del Climaterio, AAPEC, founded in 1987, is the premier professional, non-profit, membership organization dedicated to the prevention and promotion of women’s health care through midlife, climacteric and beyond, through the understanding of the physiology of menopausal transition and providing the highest quality and evidence-based treatment of its related symptoms, with the mission of improving women’s quality of life through healthy ageing.

Since its foundation, AAPEC has been developing a Continuous Medical Education program, producing practice guidelines, online courses, regional and annual meetings for health care professionals, as well as educational materials for the community, promoting programs and initiatives to improve women’s health, and advocating for members and their patients.

With approximate 1500 members, AAPEC includes colleagues from every region of Argentina, through their delegates, who assess women’s specific needs within their local communities.

AAPEC multidisciplinary members are board-certified gynecologists, obstetricians, clinicians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and every other professional whose activities are devoted to women’s health care and who have attained high ethical and academic standing.

MISSION
AAPEC’s mission is to support our members to improve the lives of all women seeking health care during midlife and beyond, their families, and communities.
