About SUEGYM
The Uruguayan Society of Gynecological Endocrinology and Menopause SUEGYM, founded in 1995, is the premier professional, non- profit, membership organization dedicated to the prevention and promotion of women’s health care through midlife, climacteric and beyond, through the understanding of the physiology of menopausal transition and providing the highest quality and evidence-based treatment of its related symptoms, with the mission of improving women’s quality of life through healthy ageing.
Since its foundation, SUEGYM has been developing a Continuous Medical Education program, online courses, regional and annual meetings for health care professionals, as well as educational materials for the community, promoting programs and initiatives to improve women’s health, and advocating for members and their patients.
With approximately 60 members, SUEGYM includes colleagues from every region of Uruguay, through their delegates, who assess women’s specific needs within their local communities.
The members of SUEGYM are certified gynecologists, members of the Gynecological Society of Uruguay.

SUEGYM’s mission is to support our members to improve the lives of all women seeking health care during midlife and beyond, their families and communities. We promote scientific updating and training of health professionals, contributing to the development of comprehensive care policies and support for women in this natural transition.

SUEGYM’s vision is an equitable world in which exceptional, integrative, inclusive, and respectful women’s health care is accessible to all.
