Sven Skouby (1948 – 2023)
Sven Skouby was a leading figure in his field and a mentor for many. He was born in 1948, received his MD in 1974, was awarded a Ph.D. (on gestational diabetes) in 1987, and was appointed professor at Copenhagen university in 1999. In 2008 he became head of the fertility clinic at Herlev Hospital near Copenhagen. A position he held until his retirement in 2021.
Sven held numerous positions, titles, and leadership roles and attended a huge number of conferences delivering inspiring and educational presentations at a national and international level. He was active in the whole field of reproduction from fertility control to assisted reproduction and menopause management.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
