About ROSGEM
The Russian Society of Gynecological Endocrinology and Menopause (ROSGEM) is a Society of specialists engaged in practical, teaching and research activities in the field of gynecological endocrinology and menopause. ROSGEM coordinates the scientific and practical activities of the members of the Society in the field of gynecological endocrinology and menopause in order to disseminate the up-to-date knowledge in the field of health of young and aging population (in Russia there are more than 42 million women over the age of 40) by on-site and online training.
The Russian Society of Gynecological Endocrinology and Menopause is the only society in the field of gynecological endocrinology and menopause with the status of an all-Russian society, which includes more than 17,000 Russian-speaking members from different countries including Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries of the CIS.
The Russian Society of Gynecological Endocrinology and Menopause (ROSGEM, former name – Russian Menopause Society) was established in 1996 by professors Vera Smetnik and Vera Balan on the basis of the department of Gynecological Endocrinology of the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after academician V.I. Kulakov of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation (Moscow). The membership is free.
