It is my and the Board of Directors’ great pleasure to welcome you to The International Menopause Society (IMS) website. The IMS is a charitable organisation that was established in 1978 to bring together the world’s leading experts to collaboratively study and share knowledge about all aspects of aging in women. The strength of our organization lies in our strong and active membership and the national and regional menopause societies that make up our Council of Affiliated Menopause Societies (CAMS). The difference in health care delivery, cultural differences and availability of resources mandate that our mission of improving the health and well-being of midlife women worldwide must be tailored by country and region. We also have strong partnerships with other societies that focus on women’s health and it is this open and collaborative approach that enables us to provide the highest quality resources and events to increase knowledge of mid-life women’s health across the globe.
Our resources and events include our journal Climacteric, the IMPART online course, our e-bulletins Menopause Live and Our Menopause World, monthly webinars, annual white papers, bi-annual World Congresses, and an extensive library of online resources. In closing, I would like to express my pride and gratitude for the tireless work of the IMS Board of Directors and CAMS Officers, who give their valuable time to deliver and sustain our vital work. We are all working in an unprecedented time, which offers challenges and opportunities. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of our team and dedication of our members and partners, the IMS remains resilient and adaptable, and we are steering it to an even brighter future.
